A spectacular day is in store for us! Great snow and clear skies are waiting for all you winter enthusiasts! Come on up to Mt Seymour for some skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing. Keep reading for what's on today and what's coming soon!

Mt Seymour is open today from 9:30am to 10:00pm for skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing. The SnowPlay area is also open today for Tubing and Tobogganing.

Seymour Sessions are back this Friday evening. With all the natural, fresh snow that's accumulated over the past week and with Mt Seymour's stellar terrain, you won't want to miss out! These two-hour sessions are designed for intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders. Each session every Friday night covers a different theme ranging from park, powder, gates, equipment maintenance, and more.

Tomorrow, over in the Northlands terrain park, the Vans Hi-Standard Big Air Series will be taking place. The contest features an original big air format where riders are judged on individual style, rewarding creativity and self-expression the Vans way. No rotations over a 720 are premitted.The more style and trick variety a rider has, the more they get paid. Each stylish maneuver will get cash on the spot! Over $12000 available in cash and prizes!

Also remember that tomorrow BMW will be onsite showcasing their latest vehicles and technology. Visit their tent at the top of Lodge Chair. There will also be a contest for some great prizes.

And after a day of skiing and riding, head on over to The Rock Chute Inn and fill up with a tasty meal and beverage. No one does apres like the Rock Chute Inn!

Sunrise Lounge is Now Open!

Come visit the Sunrise Lounge, located at the top of Lodge Chair. Rest your feet, warm up your hands, load up your photos and enjoy some treats and hot beverages! Keep reading for more information on what the new Sunrise Lounge has to offer!

Need to relax? Need a breather? Looking to warm up with some hot chocolate? Or maybe you have some sick shots and edits from your day on the mountain or the terrain park that you want to post as soon as possible?

The Sunrise Lounge, located near the top of Lodge Chair and the Young Guns Terrain Park, is the perfect place to take a breather, warm up, and tell all your online friends about your epic day on the snow.

The Sunrise Lounge is loaded with comfy leather chairs, tables stacked with the latest ski, snowboard and mountain culture magazines, as well as two iMac desktop computers. The Lounge also offers free WIFI and a small retail shop to pick up a needed pair of gloves, toque, or t-shirt, as well as some treats like hot chocolate. Music will often be heard from outside the Lounge, offering the perfect background music-mix for your lift up on Lodge Chair, or your session through Young Guns.
 
The Sunrise Lounge offers easy access with two entrances and is open at the following times:

Monday, Thursday, and Friday: 4:30pm - 8:30pm

Saturday and Sunday: 11:00am - 5:00pm

Tuesday and Wednesday: Closed

New Tech Shop Services for 2012

Looking to get the best out of your ski and snowboard equipment? The Mt Seymour Tech Shop has two new services to keep your gear in great condition. Read on for details.

New Tech Shop Services for 2012

One of the most important factors in ensuring you have a fantastic day on the mountain is the maintenance of your equipment. The Tech Shop, located at the back of Rental Shop in the Alpine Activity Centre, has added two new services to help keep your gear in its best condition.

1. Edge Sharpen and Belt Wax $25.00 plus tax.

New for our Tech Shop in 2012 is the TRIM B Edge Sharpening Machine. The Mt Seymour Tech Shop will be offering a one-hour* service Edge Sharpen and Belt Hot Wax for $25.00 plus tax.

2. Ski Binding adjustment and inspection $30.00 plus tax.

For guests who use their own equipment, or for a guest who may need to rent a pair of ski boots to use with their own skis and bindings, we are now providing a binding adjustment and inspection service for $30.00 plus tax.

Adjustments will only be made at the discretion of the technician. Older equipment may not be eligible for any adjustments. Guests wishing to have their equipment adjusted are required to bring in their equipment and have it inspected* by a technician.

This is a great offer for skiers who want to ensure their gear is working at its best!

Student Nights at Mt Seymour

Students can enjoy a night of riding each Thursday night from 4pm - 10pm for only $19 with a valid student ID!

What better way to clear your head after a week of studying than a night on the mountain. Starting Thursday, January 12 until March 15, students can show a valid Student ID and pick up an evening lift ticket from 4pm - 10pm for only $19! 

Classic 80's and 90's tunes will be playing all night longto take you back to the good ol day's of hanging out and relaxing. The Rock Chute Inn is offering 1/2 price wings every Thursday after 5pm so whether it's Hot, Teryaki, Honey Garlic or Original.. make sure it's a good one!

Weekly prize packs are up for grabls in the Rock Chute, with great prizes from NIKITA, GIB and Mt Seymour. Each week you have a chance to win these great prize packs with any purchase at the Rock Chute!

When picking up your pass, fill out a ballot form at Guest Services or at Rentals and be entered to win fabulous prizes:

  • 1st Prize: SNOWBOARD
  • 2nd Prize: LONGBOARD
  • 3rd Prize: GOGGLES

All prizes will be drawn on March 15th to finish off Student Nights.

Shred for the Cure, Ladies Ride Free*

Presented by Granville Island Brewery, Guy Night Out, Girls Ride Free is back with a new name this year! Come on up starting January 9, 2012 for Shred for the Cure, Ladies Ride Free*!

Presented by Granville Island Brewery, Shred for the Cure, Ladies Ride Free is back for its 6th year at Mt Seymour. Every Monday night starting January 9, 2012 to March 12, 2012 ladies ride free after 6pm.

Ladies make sure to pick up your vouchers at one of our retail partners and redeem it in Guest Services any time after 6pm Monday nights for your free lift ticket. Click here for a list of voucher pick up locations.

In support of the BC Cancer Foundation, Shred for the Cure is a great night to have fun and support Breast Cancer Research. Donations will be accepted all night long in Guest Services as 100% of the proceeds from the night goes directly to the BC Cancer Foundaiton.
