SEYMOUR PARK
Mt Seymour's first endeavour into freestyle terrain was in 1990 with the region's first halfpipe and then again in 1993 with the region's first terrain park. This was a collaborative effort involving the support and vision of local pro riders (including Devun Walsh and Kevin Sansalone), some creative minds, and a whole lot of experimentation. The park was located on Cabin Trail and featured 2 jumps, a 30' single bar rail, and many stoked riders.
Mt Seymour's terrain park program has evolved in the past decade and a half to become one of the most recognized in the area. Today's park program incorporates several distinct areas catering to the varied abilities and needs of park users, a heavy design influence from Seymour's resident pros', and a park crew who ensure the parks are well maintained every day.
