Snowshoe Schools

Mt Seymour offers a variety of trails exclusively for snowshoeing, providing a place of beauty and solitude. Enjoy the scenic lakes, old growth forests and undulating trails with an experienced guide.

WE ARE CURRENTLY PLANNING FOR THE 2024-25 SEASON!

Guided snowshoe tours are available on school days in January through April.

  • For Kindergarten- grade 12 students studying the BC curriculum
  • Tours start at 10am and 1pm (Arrive 30 minutes before)
  • Minimum of 20 students

Combine snowshoeing with tubing or tobogganing for a full day of fun

2-Hour Tour (Winter Discovery, Nature Games or Snowshoe Showdown) $27.50
3-Hour Tour (Winter Survival Challenge) $33

Per student. All prices include tax. Snowshoe rental is included. There are no discounts on school products for season pass holders. 

 

Winter Discovery

Kindergarten- Grade 12

Our most popular program! A great introduction to winter ecology. Have you ever wondered how trees and animals survive under a blanket of snow? Discover the amazing adaptations that allow them to do so while learning the basics of winter safety. The interactive program includes hands-on learning and games that can be adapted to various ages.

Nature Games

Kindergarten- Grade 5

Be prepared to have fun! Participate in nature-focused games on snowshoes while learning some of the incredible characteristics of a winter ecosystem.  Just as younger animals play games to practice skills needed to survive in the mountain environment, we too can learn mountain life skills through play.

Snowshoe Showdown

Grades 5-12

Expect to exert a lot of energy!  This interactive team-building program leads groups through fun, fast-paced tasks and challenges. Games will have students running or moving quickly in the snow. Participants will engage in friendly competition against each other while building team spirit and having tons of fun.

Winter Survival Challenge

Grades 5-12

Our most exciting program! Learn essential winter safety and survival skills in this hands-on program.  Working in teams, problem-solve your way through a survival scenario using only the supplies provided in your survival pack. Shelter-building, melting snow, orienteering, fire-building and other skill-testing activities are dependent on weather conditions.

Chaperones

One free chaperone for every 10 students.  Primary classes receive one free chaperone for every 5 students. No additional adults are allowed on the tour. Each chaperone receives a snowshoe trail and rental pass to use on another day this season.

Meet us at Enquist Lodge (next to the Tube and Toboggan Park) and enjoy quicker access to easier trails for your youngest students.
