Burton Demo Day & MINI Tour
January 7, 2012
Ever wanted to check out a Burton board before you buy it? Then come on up on Saturday, January 7th for the 2011/2012 Burton Demo Tour.
On hill for the day, you can stop by their tent located at the top of Lodge Chairlift and try out a new board while you're shredding around the mountain. Make sure to check out the MINI tent as well which will be right beside Burton's! Happy Shredding!!
Shred for the Cure, Ladies Ride Free *
January 9 — March 12, 2012
Shred for the Cure, Ladies Ride Free is back this year for its 6th season. Starting January 9, 2012 untill March 12, 2012, every Monday night starting at 6pm ladies ride free.
Presented by Granville Island Brewing and in support of the BC Cancer Foundation, Shred for the Cure is a great night to come up with a group of friends, enjoy the slopes and have fun. Thank you to everyone who makes Monday night so special. With all your help and all your donations, we were able to raise over $55,000 for the BC Cancer Foundation over the past 5 years. Thank you for your supprt!
Ladies, pick up your vouchers from one of our participating retail partners (listed below) and redeem it at Guest Services for a free 6pm lift ticket. Make sure to donate when redeeming your voucher in Guest Services as all proceeds go to the BC Cancer Foundation and we are looking to break last year's total.
The Rock Chute Inn has great food and drink specials for everyone to enjoy. Make sure to stop by and get a seat for our Apres Ski prize draw starting at 9:00pm. We have plenty of prizes to be won from t-shirts to hoodies, hats, toques, goggles and much more!
Ladies, a voucher is required to receive a complimentary lift ticket. Be sure to pick up your voucher from one of our participating retail outlets to redeem in Guest Services for a free 6pm lift pass and have a great, fun night.

BC Snowboard Provincial Series
January 14 — 15, 2012
The BC Snowboard Association Provincial Series is coming back to Mt Seymour this year to continue their committment in providing competitors an opportunity to gain competitive experience.
Sanctioned by Canada Snowboard, this event provides opportunities for athletes to compete for FIS and TTR points to qualify for Nationals.

- Event is open to all current Advanced BCSA Membership holders.
- All competitors must hold a current BC Snowboard Advanced Competitor License or purchase a limited event waiver.
- Athletes may also hold a current reciprocal provincial membership.
- All FIS competitors must hold a current FIS license.
- Memberships and licenses can be purchased online at www.canadasnowboard.ca.
Helmets are mandatory for all competitors.
Family Snow Day
January 29, 2012
Come on up to Mt Seymour for the 2nd Annual Family Snow Day! Enjoy tubing and tobogganing and make sure to stop by the yurt for craft hour! Our great volunteers will have beads, crafts and much more for everyone looking to get their hands dirty.
Here's what’s happening on Family Snow Day:
- Crafts in the Yurt in the SnowPlay Park
- Games and prizes at each booth
- Snowshoe Demos
- Free Hot Chocolate and Popcorn
Harold's Cafe is a great place to stop by and purchase a delicious hot dog, a harty bowl of chili or sit down with a warm cup of coffee while the kids play outside. We'll have a fire pit set up outside where everyone can cozy up during the day and roast some s'mores.
Free Tobogganing* or Tubing Discount
*The first 200 people to show their North Shore Credit Union Member Card or Northvanrec Playcard will receive free tobogganing or $8 off tubing!
Please check Mt Seymour’s website before heading up the mountain for the current conditions as this event is weather dependent. Remember to dress appropriate for the weather.
