Charitable Events & Donation Requests

Mt Seymour is dedicated to providing memorable experiences that enrich and rejuvenate our communities. As a proud community partner, we strive to support our neighbors through an active community relation's effort. Through donations and promotional support, Mt Seymour Resort is a sponsor of cultural, educational, health, historic, and athletic programs. Mt Seymour Resort prides itself on maintaining a meaningful connection within its area that will enhance the quality of life and recreational opportunities for residents and visitors alike.

Mt Seymour Resort donates each year to numerous non-profit organizations whose initiatives improve the overall quality of life in our communities. As you might imagine, we are frequently asked to support charitable purposes of all types. Therefore, due to the overwhelming number of requests, we have set up the following new guidelines. We thank you for taking the time to review and follow them.

Donation Guidelines

Mt Seymour is able to consider donation requests received at least six weeks prior to an event. Donations will not automatically be given out for each event and will always fall under the same review process.

Consideration will be given to those organizations that send their request at least three months before the event and for those supporting social causes: health and welfare, children and families, arts and education, and sports. Please be sure to describe the people who would benefit from the donation, as well as the background and purpose of your agency.

We do not make any monetary donations, and we will now work with a budgeted amount of donations to give out to specific events and fundraisers. These donations will be given in the form of downhill, snowshoeing or snowtubing/tobogganing area passes. We require a request in writing on charitable organization letterhead detailing the non-profit, its mission/goals and the fundraising event. Please also include in your request any public exposure donators will receive, such as program listings, newspaper or TV coverage, etc.
